Snippix is designed to be private by default.
Nothing is sent to us. Snippix does not have a server. All of your
snippets, shortcuts, and settings are stored locally on your device using the browser's
chrome.storage.local API. This data never leaves your browser and is not
transmitted to the developer or any third party.
api.gumroad.com — used only to verify a
Pro license key you paste in (see "Payments" below). No other network requests are made.Snippix does not use analytics, tracking, ads, or remote code.
The {clipboard} placeholder reads your clipboard only at the moment
you insert a snippet that contains it, purely to place that text into the field
you're typing in. Clipboard contents are never stored or transmitted.
If you upgrade to Pro, payment is processed by Gumroad (gumroad.com), acting as Merchant of Record. Snippix only sends your license key to Gumroad's public verification API to confirm your purchase is active. Snippix never sees or stores your card details. See Gumroad's privacy policy for how they handle payment data.
Uninstalling the extension removes all locally stored data. You can also export or clear your snippets any time from the Options page.
